Reliable transport can be essential for accessing the community, appointments, work, education and social activities.

 

We provide travel and transport assistance where it is reasonable, appropriate and included within the participant’s NDIS plan.

 

Transport support may include:

• Travel to medical or community appointments

• Transport to social and recreational activities

• Travel to work, training or education

• Assistance with shopping and essential errands

• Support to attend group or centre-based activities

• Building confidence using public transportLearning how to plan routes and journeys

• Assistance entering and exiting vehicles safely

• Support with mobility equipment during travel

• Developing greater independence with community travel

 

Transport arrangements are discussed during the intake process so that expectations, safety requirements and applicable charges are clearly understood.
